The Project Team has searched for several options for naming the platform, the focus was on the Vision & Mission and the targeted Objectives. Some things belong to lightening the place and bringing hope at the same time we have linked these names with the culture of the Sultanate, especially in the old city of Muscat the capital.
The name “Branda” was chosen to be the brand for the platform. It is a local perversion of the Latin word Veranda, which means the balcony or windows found in old houses or buildings in the Sultanate, which date back hundreds of years. It is a symbol of light and renewal, which is an essential part of home designs because of its importance in introducing air and light to its residents.
